Columbus Unscripted was thrilled to host A "Playline PopUp" improv and story session in partnership with The Bexley Public Library!
What unfolded together was truly something special—warm, inviting, playful, and deeply ensemble-focused. From the very first moment, the room filled with openness and curiosity, and together we built something beautiful.

We played across generations, with ages ranging from 4 to 84. All ages, all ideas, all welcome. Through games, shared stories, and spontaneous conversations, we laughed, giggled, watched one another bravely jump in, and celebrated each person’s unique contribution.

Stories emerged moment by moment, callbacks wove themselves naturally into the play, and the energy in the room felt light, connected, and alive.
"Playline PopUp" is designed so everyone has a way in—a “play line” to catch, try out, and build from. Whether you were jumping right into the action or easing in through observation and listening, the ensemble carried the experience together. As the play continued, the connections grew tighter, the stories richer, and the sense of shared joy stronger.

The words that filled the room said it all:
''calm'', ''energetic'', ''happy'', ''fun'', "at peace", "wanting more". At the end of our time together, we invited everyone to do two things:
One:tell a story that has never been heard, never been written, and never been told.
Two: Reflect and share what they were feeling.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who brought their presence, imagination, laughter, and kindness to this session. You made the experience what it was.
Join us for more fun at a future "Playline PopUp"!
We have upcoming seasons, courses, and customizable workshops designed for all ages, groups, and settings. If you’re curious to keep playing, learning, and building together, we’d love to have you along.
